I really like to look at other photographer’s work and writings. My tastes seem to be constantly changing as I grow and discover more. Currently, I really like the work of David Ward as well as George DeWolfe; Both really resonate with me. Both seem very contemplative and just seem to be able to grasp and hold my attention. I don’t think that I want to ‘be like them’, but I sure find their work appealing. Their work seems to transcend the object that they are photographing and becomes something else.
What I would like to know is whose work you find interesting/fascinating/attractive, and why, if you care to share. It also gives me more links to look at and more points of view to consider. Please feel free to include more than one link!
Thanks!

Paul, Someone who’s photos I’ve been enjoying lately is Bruce Percy. I love his artistic landscapes and use of color. He also does some outstanding portrait work.
Earl: Thanks for the link. I didn’t realize it, until I went to his site, that I had seen his work before. I remember the Cuba work.
Paul, two very powerful artists. Thank you for the links. That percep tool from Mr. DeWolfe looks very powerful and makes a lot of sense. Very nice post here paul. thanks.
@Tom: I love that PercepTool. It is an amazing tool. I really brings out that special something in photographs. Give it a try. I’m sure that you’ll like it.
Paul, I wrote the NY Times and asked them to make a RSS link for the one in 8 million multimedia stories. In less then 24 hours, here it is… I really feel this is the next “it”.

Paul, I’m going to download a demo and see if I like it. The descrip. reads that images captured in Digital camera. That’s ok because I’ll start using digital even more now, but I wonder it’s reaction on Scanned film? Any ideas?
@Tom: It works great on scanned film as well! I’ve used it on a few of the images that have been in the blog the last few days, all film.
Thanks Paul, dang, the price is right too. At $89 for that level of intelligence is an excellent value. I’m careful about any software but I know this artist and have his book and now a glow from you. Done!
Thanks for the links Paul. In return here are some photographers whose work I’m enjoying: Mary Dennis, Stephen Sheffield and Ciro Totku. Just to name a few. Really like De Wolfe.
Hey, I didn’t know that David Ward has a blog! Great, thanks for the tip
And yes, his work definately resonates with me – it’s absolutely wonderful. I’ve just purchased a trio of his books and I simply plainly enjoy them thoroughly. A photographer that is similar to David, but still different is Ian Cameron. You can find his site at http://www.transientlight.co.uk.
