Well, if you came here looking for a few leaves changing colors, sorry to disappoint. This is how my hallway looks at the moment. What you cannot see is that around and corner, in the guest bedroom, there is 2 or 3 times as much stuff spread out on the floor!
My son, Mr. Tony Lester, as I am wont to call him, is off on another adventure. You may think that I travel a lot, but this guy does it big! Let’s see how his autumns have looked:
2010 – He went to Tilton, NH for an extra year of high school, essentially to play basketball.
2011 – Off to Missouri to attend Mizzou (University of Missouri at Columbia).
2012 – Hmmmm. I think that I’ll go to McCook, Nebraska.
2013 – I think that I’ll come back and stay in South Carolina and go to a school there. Psych!!! Nope, heading to Costa Mesa, CA!!
I imagine that with all of his movements, it’ll take him 6 years, or so, to finish his 4. He’s already into his 3rd year of college and I’m not sure where he is. It’s interesting to see him take these risks and do his own thing. He’s very confident, sometimes quite hard-headed, but that’s my boy, regardless.
The truck should be here in a few minutes to pick up his car and transport it to Cali. I’ll be dropping him off at the airport on Sunday afternoon, then the cleaning and taking back of my house will begin in earnest. He’s a messy guy, but he’ll clean most of it up; however, I will have to go back and do the details. He seems to be somewhat blind those things. Clutter blind! LOL
I’m thinking of putting a pot together to guess where he’ll go next year. Winner take all. The person who is closest, in miles, to where he will land next year. Tony suggested that make it an exact match for city. I told him that I’d have to offer a huge pot, similar to the lottery based on those odds. He’s my son and I don’t even have a clue! Maybe I’ll get in the pot, too!
