Wow! It’s been nearly a month since I last posted. I’ve been keeping quite busy, enjoying life. I’m adding lots of miles onto the sneakers, going the YMCA a couple of times per week, learning a new (to me) programming language called Scala, working, visiting friends, and of course, continuing with my Spanish lessons, etc. You know, life!

Last week I spent 8 days in Ohio with my sister. I decided that since I work from home, home can be anywhere. So, off I went to Ohio. While I was there, Akron showed me a wide range of weather from warm days of nearly 70, to a day where it was 22 with nearly 20 MPH winds, giving a wind chill of 14. I came prepared!

I spent many a pleasant morning walking along the historic towpath between Akron and Cleveland. Theoretically, one could walk from my sister’s house, mile marker 36 on the path, to Lake Erie, mile marker 1, but I didn’t feel so adventurous and energetic. I decided to keep all of my walks limited to 6 miles 🙂 Throughout the week the path changed from icy, to slushy, to wet. Walking on icy snow takes some effort, but it wasn’t terribly slippery.

Today, it’s more of the same … a few chores, visiting with friends, a bit of this and a bit of that. I hope that I will have more stories to write about, but you know how that goes. 🙂
