I’m on an old version of the iPhone … well, old version as far as technology is concerned, iPhone 6. I know! Prehistoric. During my time in Guatemala, I took about 1/4 of the pictures with the iPhone. As I look through them, and others that I’ve taken with that phone, I’m impressed. They seem to be very sharp, have good color, and all that I can ask for.

The featured image, a picture of the falls in Falls Park in Greenville, SC, rendered very well and it was about 1:30 in the afternoon on a very sunny day. There were no blown-out highlights, good shadow detail, and good color. Now, I’ve not printed this, but I think that it would make a good print.

Of course, there’s some serious wide angle distortion and it’s difficult to get walls to appear straight, from time to time, but let’s just call that artistic license 🙂

As I am certainly not one of the younger generation and I prefer a “real” camera, I don’t think that a cell phone camera would ever replace my other cameras, but it’s nice to know that I have a pretty good camera in my pocket, at all times, that will allow me to get the shot, even if it is a wide angle shot.

I like tacos!!!
At this time, rather missing those cool temperatures!
