I’m on an old version of the iPhone … well, old version as far as technology is concerned, iPhone 6. I know! Prehistoric. During my time in Guatemala, I took about 1/4 of the pictures with the iPhone. As I look through them, and others that I’ve taken with that phone, I’m impressed. They seem to be very sharp, have good color, and all that I can ask for. The featured image, a picture of the falls in Falls Park…

A couple of weeks ago, I watched my first-ever Apple product announcement. It took them about 3 hours to say what, in my opinion, could have comfortably been said in half that time. That said, I do understand that there “had to be” speeches, etc, to hype the launch. Got to keep the buying public needing, wanting, and loving your product. I popped in and out, listening here and there. Finally, when they got to the iPhone 7, I was…

Back in the day, I used to work at a One Hour Photo. Good fun! It always seemed to be exciting our customers to be able to get their photos back in an hour. Now, with instant gratification at an all time high, especially with digital photography, waiting an hour seems like an eternity! On my usual route, I know where to find it and these two houses, right next to each other, seem to attract it. The mornings are cooler, giving fog a chance to make an appearance. As long as I have a camera with me, in this case, the iPhone, I’ll photograph it. 😀…

Last Thursday, I was about to head out of the door, on the way to the airport for my trip to Columbus, OH, when I realized that I didn’t have a camera with me. I stopped short of the door, grabbed a camera, then put it back down. My thought, at that moment was: No. Not this time. I just want to enjoy and participate, not be on the job. Sure, the family loves when I take photos, as do…

I learn a lot here. I love to hear different perspectives and, sometimes, if I’m open to it, I will change my mind on a particular subject, like Instagram. So, for now, I have decided to just have fun with it. No pressure. No requirement to post to it every day, or even at all. Of late, I’ve been using my iPhone, exclusively, for photography. As a matter of fact, I’ve not used my Olympus OM-D since I returned from…
