Toes up and having fun! I’m having a great time going back through my photographs and doing lots and lots of clean up. I’ve expended a great number of hours doing it and probably have as many more to go. I was thinking while cleaning up that I’m a lot more laid back in my photography now. Previously, if I had gaps in the dates that I took photos, or even posted to the blog, I’d wonder why. I’d wonder…

I had a bit of cabin fever today. I needed to get out of the house. You see, I’ve been stuck in the house, pretty much, for nearly a week. It all started on Tuesday, October 25th.  One of the days of the week that I attend Tai Chi is on Tuesdays. On this particular Tuesday we were doing stance training. Basically, we get into one of our basic stances and hold it for as long as the instructor cares…

Colorado? Nebraska? It’s hard to tell the difference! I’m glad to be back home. Tony is settled in Nebraska. Total drive/ride time to Nebraska, 22 hours, plus 4.5 to Denver. The way back, about 3.5 hours! I’m thankful for air travel. Overall, I had a good time and I’m glad that I did it, but it was tiring. Hobbs is back with me, snoozing comfortably in his bed, a welcome sight. I took this top photo from the California Zephyr…

When she arrived, she had his medicines, his bedding, and of course, Mr. Hobbs. However, she held a broken vial of insulin in her hand. She apologized profusely saying that she had dropped the vial when she removed it from the refrigerator. I told her that it was no problem, but that it would…

A scene from the beach – Monterrey, CA It’s been about 5 years since I set foot in California, or as it is affectionately called: The Land of Fruits and Nuts. 😉 The last time that I was there it was dual purpose. To be on vacation and to meet Monterrey John, a fellow blogger who is now deceased. I have fond memories of that trip. On July 18th, I head west again; this time much further south, Las Angeles…

On Friday I was thinking: What am I going to do on Saturday. I didn’t have anything planned and, sure I could have gone out and gone to the garden, taken pictures, etc. However, I wanted something a little different. Thinking back to a couple of weeks ago when I volunteered at the Dachshund rescue, I thought that I might volunteer somewhere, if anything was going on this weekend. Somewhere that I could blend volunteering and my camera. I checked…
